My Top Wedding Regret

We had a tight budget for our wedding, and we tried SO hard to remain under it, which we did somehow, despite the rough inflation 2023/2024/2025 couples face! We cut back on a lot, including decor, centerpieces, florals, cute extra stuff, and my bridal accessories -- it was all SO worth it not to come out of our wedding weekend in tons of debt.

We also decided not to invest in a wedding content creator -- which turned out to be my top wedding regret.

And when I say content creator, I mean someone to capture every moment of our wedding day because I feel like I missed so much of OUR wedding day... you do not realize how busy you will be as the bride and groom.

I woke up the day after our wedding and wanted to see videos and photos immediately -- but sadly we did not have many. I wish we had BTS video coverage of my mom putting on my dress, the final moments waiting to walk down the aisle with both of my parents, lots of videos of my grandparents who miraculously made it to our wedding, and more coverage of our guests because we will never have all of the same people in one room ever again.

We were so in the moment with family and friends that we did not get many candid, raw photos and videos (which I 10/10 recommend, but the downside is fewer photos/videos captured). At that moment, I felt like someone punched me in the gut... the post-wedding blues set in. After two years of planning our wedding, it went by in a flash, and I felt like I had nothing to show for it or post to Facebook or Instagram.

I vividly remember turning to my new husband and saying, "We should have hired the content creator." With the copious amount of time, money, and effort that went into our wedding day, we felt silly that we did not invest more to ensure our wedding day was captured to the fullest. Our photographer and videographer were fantastic, but it hurt knowing how much we spent on food and drinks but didn't spend the extra money on an extra little gift for ourselves (aka more photo/video coverage from a content creator).

So I decided to put my regrets to power and started my own business, Iconic Content, so no other couple had to feel like we did the day after our wedding. As a content creator, I ensure all my couples have a full gallery of 500+ photos and videos AND ready-to-post TikTok videos or reels for your social media pages. At the end of the day, all you have are memories of your big day. The flowers will die, the drinks will run out, the DJ will play your last song of the night, but the memories of your wedding day will last a lifetime.

I promise you will never regret having as many photos and videos of your wedding day as possible. Still debating hiring a content creator? Keep reading as you work toward making a final decision.

Sending you all the love during this season of wedding planning! I know it is so much work, but I promise it will all be worth it. Please know I see you, and keep up the hard work.
